Relaxing weekend

Relaxed this weekend and tried to get over the cold I had Thursday and Friday. Feeling a lot better. Managed to get out for a 5k run this afternoon too.

Going to have a busy June. Looking forward to it all though.

It's amazing how a little sunshine lifts the libido

The sun came out this weekend... and it was particularly welcome. The warmth of the sun on skin awakens desire. Reaffirms certain senses. I love it!! The reality is a summer covered in slippy suntan lotion to avoid burnt-red skin and the hot, stickiness of the tube to and from work.

I was at my final treatment with the (very good looking) osteopath on Monday and can now start running properly again. Fingers crossed.

Really tired so I'll get to sleep now and be awake tomorrow.

I have a new job!!!

Well, I have that new job I went for! Really excited as it'll be a very good move. I'll have my own clients and will be responsible for looking after them. Proper account management. I'll really enjoy the bank holiday weekend now. I must get out for a run and maybe do some writing too. I've to complete a story for the next workshop so that'll be hard as it's only 2 weeks away. Any ideas?

Liverpool v. AC Milan - again!!!

Tonight Liverpool played AC Milan in the European Chamionships final. I've just seen that AC Milan won. I remember the game 2 years ago ..... why? You called me and I wrote a piece for you. Telling you what I did when we put the 'phone down.
This evening I'll think of you, touching me, kissing me, holding me, fucking me. I'm hoping it won't be too long until I see you for real. I can't wait! I'll be doing my best, as always, to make sure it's special ..... and even better than last time. We'll make those fantasies reality.

I'm doing my upmost to keep my promise to you and will know the result of this weeks' interview by Friday. I also have a meeting arranged with an agency on Friday too, with one particular role in mind. All positive stuff.

Starting running ...

I have started back running! My gorgeous osteopath says that I could try a 15min run and see how my knee holds up. I was meant to try to get to the gym this week but didn't manage to. I went out on my usual route this afternoon and ran for about 15minutes and then walked the rest. My knee feels ok so far.

Was at the hairdresser and asked her just to tidy up my locks. She lopped off a good 2inches! My hair won't quite be how I like it for about a month now!

I have an interview on Tuesday so been doing preparation and research today. Let you know how that goes.

Writing and relaxation

Enjoyed my time off work.
Caught up with a couple of friends, went to a writing workshop and spent a day just relaxing.
Followed up on my job applications and will need to keep that going.
Back at work today and all the frustrations return. There's meant to be a big trip for the whole section to have time in the offices in Copenhagen. A boozy jolly. I don't want to go. I want to be one of the few who keep things running in London. Probably the wrong option? I just don't want to go for that reason. I want to go and be constructive and not just with a boozy trip. Praised again at this month's Sales meeting .... getting beyond a joke.


I had made plans based on agreements with other friends and these have now all gone awry. I'll need to think again about a break in the summer.

Bank Holiday Monday

- tackled a hectic Top Shop on Oxford Street and the Kate Moss collection (ok, I know, but was fun!)

Short week at work so busy 3 days then a long weekend to look forward to.

Bank Holiday Weekend

I had a strong feeling you would call on Friday, a very strong feeling. Just a co-incidence I know but when the 'phone rang I knew it was you. Did you realise I had you on hands free speakerphone? Afterwards, the all-over tingle remained until deep sleep took over. Hearing your voice really establishes the connection again. Makes you feel so much closer.

I've had a busy week at work but also had a couple of options for breaks come my way too. A friend is spending 3 weeks in Toulouse in July and has said I could join her for a few days. Other friends are considering a weekend away at the beginning of June. I'm thinking girly weekend at a boutique hotel in Brighton with sea air, sunshine and shopping in the Lanes.

Have next week planned. No work Monday so job applications is the priority and then off work again on Friday so follow up calls then.

Business Start Up Show

Busy weekend really. Friend's birthday drinks on Friday, Business Start Up Show at Excel Saturday and relaxing today.
Business Start Up was fun. Made good sales but it was tiring. Michelle Dewberry from The Apprentice was giving a presentation. Would have loved to have seen that. As the seminar rooms were quite small I watched a little from a screen set up outside.

I enjoyed going out Friday night. It's surprising what you find out about people by going to the pub.

Osteopathy

This week has started a bit tiring already.
Not out the picture yet for the interview I went for as I've heard back they definitely like me and were impressed but not made a final decision. I'm not holding my breath though.

My knee had been playing up so I went to see an osteopath at the gym I go to. O mi god!! I honestly didn't expect to be taking off my trousers completely ... but he was rather gorgeous, young and thankfully I had some rather fetching sky blue knickers on!!! I have another date ... sorry, treatment session next Monday. At least hopefully I'll know I'll not be doing myself any damage by running too soon or too hard.

Sunny weekend

Enjoyed the sun this weekend. Spent time on the riverfront at Richmond and met up with someone I know who was running the marathon. She did extremely well in the heat. I saw the exhausted elation of those finishing but also saw them hobbling, unable to walk after sitting down for a moment afterwards. It looked exciting to take part but I think I'll stick to my 5 and 10k runs.

Eventually got my 'phone line fixed on Friday. I can put my new 'phone on speakphone and actually prefer to use it that way.

Waiting

I'll know if I have a new job later this week. If I had been at work I doubt I would have thought about it much at all but as we've had the long weekend I've had time to think and consider the reality of any decision. The more I think about it, the more I want the job, the more important it appears. However I should just treat this as a good start to my job searching and see what this week brings.

I've been clearing out boxes of papers this weekend. I've shredded 4 black bags of utter rubbish I had been storing for no purpose whatsoever. It's been great throwing out that clutter and encourages me to continue and clear out more. I certainly can do with the space!!!

Making the most of the 4 day break. My telephone at the flat seems to have died though. I think I'll have to buy a new one. Think I'll make sure it has handsfree option and speakerphone, don't you?

Interview

Got the email late yesterday afternoon. Had to negotiate some hours off at short notice but was ok.
Trawled their website 'til late-ish last night.
Arrived early. Seemed to go fine. I certainly was given a couple of decent opportunities to sell myself. There was a lot of agreement and nodding of heads and I threw in a few terms that showed I'd done my research. I'm certain they like me but that doesn't mean they think I'm right for the role. Very much a thrown in at the deep end and get on with it role which would be a brilliant challenge.

After we'd taken a walk, showered, it would be time to dress and go out for a meal.......
